By Automobile:
By highway, connections to the Windham region can be made quidkly from Interstate routes 84 and 384 and the Connecticut and Massachusetts Turnpikes. Rural routes to different towns in our region include routes 6, 14, 32, 44 and 195.
By Bus:
Both interstate and commuter bus serves are available. Interstate service is provided by Peter Pan from Willimantic to Providence and New York. Commuter operations include Arrow from Willimantic to Hartford with stops in Columbia, Andover and Bolton. WindhamRegion Transit District operates local daily service connecting major commercial and other locations within Windham and Mansfield.
By Rail:
Full railroad freight service is available from the New England Central Railroad serving Windham area. The New England Central Railroad has interchange ability to the Canadian National System, the Boston and Maine systems and transcontinental service. The Providence-Worcester Railroad has service to Willimantic also.
By Air:
Commercial flight services are provided at the state-owned Windham Airport, located just three miles from downtown Willimantic. Bradley International Airport has charter, commercial and freight service both domestically and transcontinentally and is located just 40 miles away in Windsor Locks.
