The Connecticut Low Wage Employer Advisory Board is holding a public hearing tonight–Wednesday, July 20–on their proposal to seek a higher state minimum wage in the 2017 legislative session.
As you know, the state’s minimum wage is already scheduled to increase to $10.10 in the coming year. Certain members of the board would prefer an even greater increase.
The hearing will be held from 6 to 8 pm in the Bridgeport City Council Chambers at 45 Lyon Terrace, Bridgeport. You can sign up to testify in person beginning at 5:30, or you can submit testimony to DOL.CTMinimumWagePublicHearing@ct.gov.
Additional questions about the hearing can be directed to the Connecticut Department of Labor at 203.455.2855.
