About the event
A wreath is placed on the grave of every veteran in the New Willimantic Cemetery on Rt. 32 to honor their service and sacrifice. Each wreath costs $17 to purchase and we need almost 400 to be able to properly remember and honor all of the veterans at this location.
Join us on December 13 at noon at the New Willimantic Cemetery, on Rt 32 across from the Ocean State Job Lot plaza, at the back of the cemetery at the flag pole, for the ceremony. It begins at noon. After the ceremony volunteers will help place the wreaths by saying out loud the veterans name so to remember them, placing the wreath to honor them, and saying a few words to thank them.
